For admission to any of the Integrated First Degree Programmes of BITS the candidate should have passed the 12th class examination of 10+2 system from a recognized Central or State board or its equivalent with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics. Further, the candidate should have obtained a minimum of 75% aggregate marks in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics subjects in 12th class examination, at least 60% marks in each of the Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics subjects and adequate proficiency in English.
So as per their requirement i think you are eligible for BITS exam.

BITSAT is the entrance exam for admission of BITS pilani college. The eligibility required for appearing in this exam is that you must have cleared your 12th std with PCM group and at least 75% as an aggregate and 60% in each subject.

Oops, Sorry you just missed out few marks. For BITSAT you have to get 80.00% aggregate in PCM.

But here is an solution. You can try answering a supplementary exam in one of the subjects which will surely let your percentage be moer than 80%. I am saying this since my friend did the same and later he got a call from BITS after getting 82%. Previously he scored only 79.2%

Eligibility criteria in BITSET exam -
Candidate should have at least 80% in aggregate and at least 60% in each Physics ,Chemistry,Math .
So if you have this 79.6% in each of the Physics ,Chemistry,Math and above 80% in aggregate then you are eligible otherwise not .

Hi dear,

Oops, Sorry you just missed out few marks. For BITSAT you have to get 80.00% aggregate in PCM.

But here is an solution. You can try answering a supplementary exam in one of the subjects which will surely let your percentage be moer than 80%. I am saying this since my friend did the same and later he got a call from BITS after getting 82%. Previously he scored only 79.2%

So try it and do answer BITSAT and apply for the supplementary exam

Dear Friend

Mostly examination boards have the provision of only 12th examination (board exam containing syllabus )for boards examination and the result of same is provided as 12th board result.
In that case there is no involvement of your marks in 11th.
There are some state board where the board examination syllabus constitute both 11 and 12 syllabus. There the 11th syllabus comes in play.

The main thing that matters, is how much you got in the final result. If your board mentions the 11th marks in board result then it will be counted otherwise there is no question of marks in 11th.

BITSAT consider only 12th standard marks & only PCM .
For BITAT eligibility your PCM must be 80% and above.
Even 79.6 are not round offed.

Dear friend

For appearing BITSAT only 12th board result is considered.
Actually, it depends on your board from which you are doing +2.
If your board publishes final result considering only 12th examination
then only 12th results will be considered.
If your board considers both 11 and 12 result for final result then both will be
considered for BITSAT.

For BITSAT you need to score an aggregate of 80% in board and at least 60
in each of the PCM subjects.

hi friend,

There is no such provision of rounded off in any of the eligibility criteria's concerned. You must have to attained in aggregate figure. Failing to fullfil this , would obviously disqualify for this exam.

As in your case , you have obtained less than 80% marks in 12th' PCM, hence you are not eligible for applying in BITSAT even if you have got more than 60% individually in each subject of PCM.

as to get admission in bitsat , minimum 80% aggregade is required.

so you can't fullfil the criteria.

Hello,

That is sheer bad luck that your percentage in 79.6. just 4 more marks would have made you eligible.
Minimum eligibility is 80% aggregate of all subjects and 60% in PCM.

However, you are eligible for IIT-JEE, AIEEE and various other engineering entrance examinations.

Do not loose hope you will be eligible if you get 80% marks including your supplement paper
you are just few marks away from the eligibility criteria.

Make sure that your marks reached 80 % including the supplement paper ...

i am very sorry to inform you that you are not eligible for the bitsat,as the minimum marks for the bits is 80% but your marks is not upto that,give supplement of one of the subject, then you have only chance to increase your aggregate.

there is no criteria for English marks in BITSAt or any other engg. entrance exam.
But PCM marks are considered which should be 80% strictly no round off there sorry you miss it better luck next time.

Oops sorry, you are just 0.4% lagged to be eligible for BITSAT.
To be eligible to appear in BITSAT a candidates needs to pass 12th with atleast 80% marks in aggregate in PCM. Also a candidate should score a minimum of 60% marks in each of Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics. Only those candidates who have passed 12th in 2009 or are appearing in 2010 are eligible to appear for BITSAT.
