sir,i hae secured 796 marks in my board exams that is 79.6 percent with 60 percent marks in each physics,maths,chemistry.now my question is am i eligibile for bitsat? will my percentage be round up to 80 percent?

Oops, Sorry you just missed out few marks. For BITSAT you have to get 80.00% aggregate in PCM.

But here is an solution. You can try answering a supplementary exam in one of the subjects which will surely let your percentage be moer than 80%. I am saying this since my friend did the same and later he got a call from BITS after getting 82%. Previously he scored only 79.2%

So try it and do answer BITSAT and apply for the supplementary exam

sorry, you are not eligible for BITSAT exams, to appear in BITSAT a
candidates needs to pass 12th with atleast 80% marks in aggregate
in PCM. Also a candidate should score a minimum of 60% marks in
each of Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics.

You have just missed out with 0.04% since BITSAT asked for atleast 80% marks in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics subjects (if he/she has taken Mathematics in BITSAT) or a minimum of aggregate 80% marks in Physics, Chemistry and Biology subjects (if he/she has taken Biology in BITSAT) subjects in 12th examination, with at least 60% marks in each of the Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics / Biology subjects.

NOTE :In the past, admission process of the Institute always ensured guaranteed admission to all the students who obtained first ranks in their respective board examinations.

HI

BITSAT need a minimum of 80.00% or more in PCM aggregate.
So you are not eligible for BITSAT.
Pathfinder give you good suggestion, to give supplement of one of the subject, then you have only chance to increase your aggregate.
So follow that advice.

eligibility to gofor bitsat is 80 % aggregate in pcm ,.....so if you got 80% in pcm then you are surely eliigbile for this

I m really sorry to tell u that u r not elligible to sit in the BITSAT entrance exam. As it is compulsory for a student to get 80% in the board exam.

I Passed My 12 In 2009,And did'nt get 80% in PCM,But I Gave Improvement In Maths This Year Again In CBSE.Will i b eligible For Applying?

Yes dear you are definately eligible for BITSAT 2010. But make sure you get 80% above so work hard for boards as well as BITSAT

sorry you are not elligible..if you have already given bitsat exam and got 300 or more marks then you might be considered for admission..

To be eligible to appear in BITSAT a candidates needs to pass 12th with atleast 80% marks in aggregate in PCM. Also a candidate should score a minimum of 60% marks in each of Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics. Only those candidates who have passed 12th in 2009 or are appearing in 2010 are eligible to appear for BITSAT.

there is no criteria for English marks in BITSAt or any other engg. entrance exam.
But PCM marks are considered which should be 80% strictly no round off there sorry you miss it better luck next time.

the eligibility is full 80%.the minimum is that,at 79.6% is not possible in any direction.
there is a way,give a improvement exam once again.

you are just few marks away from the eligibility criteria.

sorry, but you are not eligible for bitsat exam because for that you have to score atleast 80% marks in pcm in 12th class. But you can do one thing. You can fill the form of rechecking for that subject in which you think that your marks can increase. Or you can fill the form of improvement and give any one exam again. But give it with preparations.

That is sheer bad luck that your percentage in 79.6. just 4 more marks would have made you eligible.
Minimum eligibility is 80% aggregate of all subjects and 60% in PCM.

However, you are eligible for IIT-JEE, AIEEE and various other engineering entrance examinations.

SORRY, but you are not eligible for BITSAT exam. for this exam you have to get ATLEAST 80 % marks in aggregate in physics, chemistry and maths. since you are not having that, you are not eligible for the exam. you can do one thing, you can fill the form of improvement, maybe your marks will increase that much to make you eligible for the BITSAT exam.
