UPSC comprises of three sections Preliminary Examination which covers objective type questions, Mains which is subjective type questions and personal interview questions. For eligibility part, aspirant’s age limit should be between 19 to 40 years. Relaxation is also given for SC/ST candidates of 2 years as per the government norms. |

Eligibility Criteria : ~ The candidate should be complete graduation from a recognised university. ~ Final year candidates are also eligible. ~ Age limits is 21 years to 30 years, 3 years age relaxation for the OBC candidates 5 years age relaxation for the SC/ST candidates. ~ Candidates should be a citizen of india. If you are so interested for IAS,after being Engineers, Doctors, or Ph.d you can sit IAS exam conducted by UPSC. Application forms will come out in the month of January. According to the new exam pattern of the IAS exam 1) General-Studies paper which carries 150 marks 2) Optional paper which carries 150 marks. Dear, The minimum qualifications for the IAS exam are as follows:- -> The minimum educational qualification required is to be a graduate in any field. -> Age limitation is between 21-30 years for the general , 21-33 years for the OBC , 21-35 years for the SC/ST. -> You need to first clear the CSAT before applying for the mains. -> General category get 4 , SC/ST get unlimited while the OBC get 7 attempts to clear the exam. -> More details:- www.upsc.gov.in. Hi, I have done my Bachelor's in Civil Engineering from Mumbai University where I have 45% in my finals due to unfortunate circumstances but I have completed my Master's from University of Texas with 3.3/4 GPA. Re: Eligibility criteria for IAS examination? the eligibility criteria for IAS are: 1)educational: graduation degree from any recognized university 2)nationality: should be a citizen of INDIA 3)age limit: A candidate must have attained 21 years and not be over 30 years on August 1 of the year of examination. relaxation is there: a. upto a maximum of 5 years for SC/ST. b. upto a maximum of 3 years for OBC. |
