any graduate or an person who is in final year of his graduation is elegible to write the ias exam,provided he is above 21 years of age and not more than 3o years of age at the time of exam, also you can all other elegibility criterions at www.upsc.gov.in this year the notification will come in the month of february and the preliminary exam is scheduled to be held in june all the best |

If You Are Interested To Appear In IAS Entrance Exams, then Your Age Is Between 21 To 30 Years And You Must Have Complete Your Bacholar Degree Only then You Can Apply for IES Entrance Exams.
And You Can Attempt This Exams Only 4 Times, So, If You Have Attempt All 4 Chances, Then You Are Not Eligible to Appear In IAS Exams Again. Yes of course since you have completed your Graduation course hence you can definitely go through the CSAT examination conducted by the UPSC board.
Since you have completed your Graduation course hence i hope your age group must be between 21-30 as candidates from the mentioned age group can only go through the examination.Age relaxation is provided for SC/ST candidates. if you are interested apply the IAS entrance exam.then minimum eligibility is 21 to 30 years and you have graduate degree form any recognized university. And according to the government of india rules general category candidate can appear 4 times only,OBC can appear 7 times and SC & ST candidate have no limit for appearing.important dates. civil services exam dates (prelim) Date of Notification: 19.02.2011 Last Date for Receipt of Applications: 21.03.2011 Date of Exam: 12.06.2011 and the exam has two rounds : preliminary & main examination.those who are qualifying the preliminary called for the main examination.both exams has written test and those whose are qualifying the both exams called for interview. best of luck. |

your interest towards CIVILS examination is good to hear. the basic qualification to appear for civils examination is ->you should complete your graduation ->you should have your age between 21>= your age >=30 ->your nationality should be INDIAN ->you should have your minimum percentage in graduation i.e. 50% these are few basic eligibility criterion and of engineering students will not given any special importance we are all same equal to other bachelor candidates so there is no question of background very clear pattern 3 stage exam. first CSAT (Civil services Aptitude examination) second MAINS third INTERVIEW if you can succesfully cross all the hurdles one day you'll get posted in any of the place across this great country all the best regards ~aditya~ |

IAS examination is Indian Administrative Service examination.
Eligibility criterion for IAS 1. the age of the Candidate appearing in IAS examination must be in between 21 to 30 for general category candidate. for SC/ST/OBC/PH and other reserved category there are upper limit age relaxation. 2. candidate should have minimum of graduation degree in any one of these subject Animal Husbandry & Veterinary Science, Botany, Chemistry, Geology, Mathematics, Physics, Statistics and Zoology or a Bachelor's degree in Agriculture, Forestry or in Engineering or an equivalent qualification. 3. one general category candidate can attempt for IAS examination is for four times. IAS examination stands for Indian Administrative Service examination conducted by the Union Public Servic Commission(UPSC). The eligibility criteria for the IAS Exam is therefore is: 1.You must be a bachlor degree holder with with at least one of the subjects namely Animal Husbandry & Veterinary Science, Botany, Chemistry, Geology, Mathematics, Physcs, Statistics and Zoology. 2.You must be an Indian citizen. 3.You must be 21-30 years as on 1.7.2011 or the upper age limit relaxable for SCs/STs, OBCs . Hi, I have done my Bachelor's in Civil Engineering from Mumbai University where I have 45% in my finals due to unfortunate circumstances but I have completed my Master's from University of Texas with 3.3/4 GPA. Currently I am based in US and my age is 26. I want to come back to India and give my civil service exams. My questions are:

The minimum qualifications for the IAS exam are as follows:- -> The minimum educational qualification required is to be a graduate in any field. -> Age limitation is between 21-30 years for the general , 21-33 years for the OBC , 21-35 years for the SC/ST. -> You need to first clear the CSAT before applying for the mains. -> General category get 4 , SC/ST get unlimited while the OBC get 7 attempts to clear the exam. -> More details:- www.upsc.gov.in. this exam is conducted by UPSC every year.
for apply for this exam you must6 have to complete your graduation in any stream from a recognized college. the age limit exist for this exam is 21-30. also there are 5&3 years relaxation for SC\ST & OBC candidates. |

for appear in this exam you must have to complete your graduation in any stream from a recognized university. The IAS Exams Consist of Two Stages - Preliminary Examination And Main Examinations. The Preliminary Examination is held in May Or In June And You Will Get Objective Type Question In IAS Exams. Preliminary Examination consists of Two Papers- Paper I — General Studies 150 marks Paper II — An Optional subject 300 marks. after qualification of both stages you have to go for INTERVIEW . |
