After 12th standard and at the age of 22 years one is not eligible to join Indian Air Force through NDA but he can join the same after Graduation through CDS(Combined Defence Service) entrance exam conducted by UPSC twice every year for an entry in to Indian Military Academy, Naval Academy, Air Force Academy and Officer's Training Academy. The eligible candidate aspiring for IAF of CDS, must be an Indian unmarried Male having either appear for the final Graduation Degree exam or pass with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics from a recognised University within the age of 19 to 23 years with good Physical Fitness. One can also join Indian Air Force through AFCAT(Air Force Common Admission Test) conducted by Air Force to join as officer in Flying, Technical and Ground Duty Branch. The eligible candidate must be an Indian National having completed Graduation with 60% marks from a recognised University within the age of 20 to 28 years. |

Indian Air Force can be joined through entrance exam like NDA,CDS and AFCAT But at the age of 22 years you are not eligible to apply for NDA(National Defenece Academy) to join IAF. CDS - Combined Defence Service, the entrance exam for which is conducted by UPSC twice every year bu UPSC to join Indian Military Academy, Naval Academy, Air Force Academy and Officer's Training Academy. The eligible candidate must be an unmarried Indian Male having completed Graduation Degree with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics from a recognised University within the age of 19 to 23 years with good Physical and Mental Fitness. AFCAT - Air Force Common Admission Test conducted by Air Force for selection of officer in Flying Branch, Technical Branch and Ground Duty Officer. You complete your graduation and you can IAF in flying, technical and ground duty branches in permanent or Short service commission also. In permanent commission, you serve till the age. In SSC, you serve for 14 years (non-extendable). The medical standards, educational qualifications and age limit are different for flying, technical and ground duty . Re: How to join Indian Air Force after 12th standard at age 22? Its great opportunity to you to serve for your own country,if you have the caliber you must join the Indian Air-force. As you have already completed your graduation level,then you can apply for then you can get chance to take admission in Indian Airforce. There are some selection procedure such as: Combined Defense Services (CDS) Exam is generally conducted twice a year by the Union Public Service Commission(UPSC) to recuirt the Indian Military Academy(IMA), Officers Training Academy(OTA), Naval Academy and Air Force Academy(AFA) According to the Eligibility Criteria: Flying branch as pilot will be selected through Short Service Commission for men & women Age: i)19 to 23 years ii)19 to 25 years for CPL Holders which is issued by DGCA ,India. Upper age limit is relaxed up to 25 years. Marital Status: You have to be Single. Nationality: You have to be Indian Gender: Men and women can apply for the examination. Educational Qualifications 1:You have to be Graduate of 3 years course in any discipline from a recognised university with minimum 60% marks in aggregate in all papers put together and have Physics and Mathematics at 10+2 level. or You should have a degree of BE / B Tech of 4 years course from a recognized university with minimum 60% marks in aggregate in all papers put together. 2. Final year students can also apply,having no backlog and minimum 60 % aggregate marks in the previous year's semesters. Re: How to join Indian Air Force after 12th standard at age 22? you must have to complete your graduation with science stream,,as you are over aged , hence you are eligible for NDA exaM. this 4xdam has age limit of 16.5-19. years. after completion of graduation (age limit19-24) you can apply for CDSE, SSC IMA IAF etc etc. |

Re: How to join Indian Air Force after 12th standard at age 22? dear friend, as you are aged of 22 years, then you are not eligible for NDA exam,conducted by UPSC twice in a year, the age limit exist for this exam is 16.5-19 years only. so first complete your graduation from any stream, then you can apply by CDS exam. the age limit for this exam is 21-30 years, there are few years of relaxation are applicable to the SC\ST candidates. |

Marital status = single 3.Qualification = at least 60% in BE/B.tech on the notified discipline. 4.Gender = male/female both are applicable. The officer cadre provides opportunities for men with 10+2 / Intermediate (only in the Flying branch), graduates (all three branches), engineers (all three branches) and postgraduates (all branches except the Flying branch) in the various positions. Women with graduate (all three branches), engineering (all three branches) and post graduate degrees (all branches except the Flying branch) have openings as an Officer in the Air force. If your are age is between 16 1/2 to 19 years,you would have chance to appear for NDA exam,after qualifying this exam,you will get job in Indian Airforce.so after 12th you don't have chance to join in Indian Air force. Don't disappoint,you can try in CDS exam,after your graduation course. So take good course in graduation degree,side by side prepare CDS exam. If you want to join Indian Airforce then first complete graduation as bachelor of engineering or B-Tech. Because even if you go for simple graduation then you do not satisfy age criteria of Indian Airforce. After B.Tech/B.E degree then you are eligible for Technical entry in airforce. Re: How to join Indian Air Force after 12th standard at age 22? Dear Friend Indian Airforce doesn't conduct any recruitment for 12th passed candidates who are 22 years old. The age limit for recruitment of Graduates, use to be 23 years maximum so at your qualification it is not possible. You should try some other job according to your qualification. You can't serve the country through IAF but can do it some other way. eg. You can complete your Graduation and then you can apply for State PCS and Civil Services Examination. |
