Re: Is it possible to join Merchant Navy after completing B.Tech in Computer Science? eligibility for merchant navy is 12th + entrance (IIT) you are definately eligible after b.tech. but better if you try once before taking admission. if you clear the entrance than you would be getting after your 12th. but no problems after your graduation. since you qualify the basic eligibility. |

Re: Is it possible to join Merchant Navy after completing B.Tech in Computer Science? hi dear, if you have maths, chemistry, and physics in 12th then you are absolutely eligible for courses in Nautical science and Marine engineering... after that you can enter the navigational and engineering fields of Merchant Navy.... but you already had a bachelor's degree in nautical science or marine engineering, then you do not have to do the course... but since you have not done that course and instead of that you have done B.tech in CS, you have to do get that 4 years bachelor's degree again........ you can also get direct entry as a deck cadet with the help of your 12th degree.... you could also get direct admission as Engine Cadet/ Fifth Engineer/ Junior Engineer if you had done engineering in Mechanical/ Electrical/ Technology... but that too is not possible in your case....... so think what will you do.... thanks |
