Yes, there is vacancy of software engineers in the Merchant Navy.
but for this section there will be very less vacancies, and for marine engineering the jobs are available in this section.

see, if you have maths, chemistry, and physics in 12th then you are
absolutely eligible for courses in Nautical science and Marine engineering...

after that you can enter the navigational and engineering fields of Merchant Navy....
but you already had a bachelor's degree in nautical science or marine
engineering, then you do not have to do the course...
but since you have not done that course and instead of that you have done
B.tech in CS, you have to do get that 4 years bachelor's degree again........

you can also get direct entry as a deck cadet with the help of your 12th degree....

you could also get direct admission as Engine Cadet/ Fifth Engineer/ Junior
Engineer if you had done engineering in Mechanical/ Electrical/ Technology...

but that too is not possible in your case.......
so think what will you do....

yes you can join but not with your Bachelor's degree, but with your 12th
degree if you had physics, chemistry, maths in 12th....

to join with your Bachelor's degree, you have to do a 4 years course in
nautical science or marine engineering...

Criteria : You should have pass 12th standard with PCM and must carry 60% marks.

But for this you have to join the naval academy.

sir im student of b.tech and i want to join marchant navy plz tell me the procedure how to join marchant navy after b.tech.

eligibility for merchant navy is 12th + entrance (IIT)
you are definately eligible after b.tech.
but better if you try once before taking admission.
if you clear the entrance than you would be getting after your 12th.
but no problems after your graduation.
since you qualify the basic eligibility.
