Eligibility Criteria For IES Examination:
A candidate must be a citizen of India,

for recruitment of core branch engineers :

Yes a b.tech CSE student can apply for IAS exam and also for IES exam.

ELIGIBILITY FOR IAS EXAM:-

- Your age limit must be 21-30 years,
- There is also age relaxation for SC/ST/OBC candidates.
- For SC/ST- 5 years of relaxation,For OBC- 3 years of relaxation.
- You must be Indian citizen to apply for this exam.
- You must have completed your graduation from recognized university.
- Final year candidates can also apply for this exam.

Eligibility for IES:-

IES exam is conducted by UPSC in once time in year.

If you have completed engineering discipline in following departments then you are eligible for IES exam

1.Civil Engineering
2.Electrical Engineering
3.Mechanical engineering.
4.Electronics and Communication Engineering.

Final year student also eligible for IES exam .

The applicant age should between 21 years to 30 years.
Age relaxation is provide for SC/ST/OBC candidate.

As you are from CSE you have to choose any one stream from above mentioned streams to apply for the examination.
the question will be asked to you from the chosen stream.

Yes, you are eligible to apply for IAS (Indian Administrative Services) and you are not eligible to apply IES (Indian Engineering Services) Examination. And it appears only for the branch of civil, Electronics, Mechanical but not CSE and IT students.

You can apply for Indian Administration service exam,but you cannot apply for Indian Engineering Service.

Eligibility criteria for IAS exam:
Candidate should have complete graduation degree with any stream from a recognized university.

Candidate should have complete graduation degree from Mechanical/Electrical/Civil/Electronic Engineering course only.

Any graduate candidates can apply for IAS Examination.But IES Exam is Recruiting Only the Civil,Mechanical,Electrical and Electronics and Telecommunication.That why you are not Eligible to apply for IES Examination.
Eligibility criteria for IAS Exam.The candidate should have a bachelor's degree
from any recognized university.
The age should between 21 to 30 yrs.
IAS Exam consists of Three levels : Preliminary,Main and Interview.
First you need to appear for Preliminary Examination.Those who Qualify in the preliminary round are called for Main Examination.
So,You can appear for IAS Examination.

For the IAS exam:-

The minimum educational qualification required is to be graduate in any field from any recognized university of India.

Age limitation is between 21-30 years for the general , 21-33 years for the OBC , 21-35 years for the SC/ST.

It is a exam conducted by the UPSC.

For being IAS you need to be graduate in any of subject..
your age must be between 21 and 30..
for SC/ST candidate relaxation in upper age of 5 years..
and for OBC candidates relaxation in upper age is 3 years..
Attempts-4 for General candidates
7 for OBC candidates and unlimited attempts for SC/ST candidates...
I think you full fill above requirements
so you can fill up the forms of IAS..IAS is good career option so go for it...

To become an IAS or an IPS officer, you have to appear for the Civil Service exam which is also called CSAT or the Civil Service Aptitude Test.It is conducted by the UPSC every year on behalf of the Central Government of India.

The Minimum eligibility for CSAT exam according to UPSC is as follows:

Age Limit:

Candidate must have attained Minimum 21 years of age as on 1st August 2011.

Upper Age limit for candidates is 30 years. For OBC it is relaxable upto 3 years and for SC/ST it is relaxable upto 35 years.

Educational Qualification:

A graduate in any field from a recognized university. A final year student can also apply.

Maximum Permissible Attempts:

For General:4
For OBC:7
For SC/ST:No limit.

So i conclude by saying that you ar eligible and can apply.

To apply for IAS and IES exams, there are some eligibility criteria

They are

-Minimum graduation degree in any specialization
-Candidate should have Indian citizenship card
-Age should be between 21 to 30 years for general caste, 21 to 33 for OBC caste, 21 to unlimited for SC/ST caste

If you overcome the above mentioned criteria, then surely your are eligible to apply for IAS and IES exams

Yes, of course you can apply for both civil services exam & ES exam conducted by UPSC.

The minimum eligibility criteria for appearing in these exams is as follows:

Civil services exam:

IES exam:

As a computer engg , you cannt apply for IES but you can apply for IAS.

You are eligible for IAS exam but not eligible for IES exam because for IES exam only civil, electrical, electronics and mechanical engineering branch are eligible. Computer science and Information technology branch re not eligible for IES exam.

I m also doing Btech in Computers Sciences . From which university you have completed your Btech?

You are elegible for both IAS as well as IES as Graduates in any disciplinefrom the Recognised College are elegible to apply.For IAS u will have to study GK as well some another optional subject not studied in ur graduation.
For IES you can select Electronics n Telecommunication as it is clossest to computer Engineers Subjects.

As far as IES is concerned it is for the students of engineering from Mechanical, Civil or electronics and communication.

The answer is NO. You cannot write because as per as IES Eligibility Criteria, You can write Indian Economic Service Exam but not Engineering Services Exam.

A guy who aspire to Give IES Exam he should have A valuable degree Or diploma in Engineering from such foreign University/College/Institution which is recognized by the Government in

Mechanical, Civil or electronics and communication And most important thing is if a candidate is want apply for the post of Indian Naval Armament Service

(Electronics Engineering Posts and Engineer Group 'A' in Wireless Planning and Coordination Wing/Monitoring Organisation)

He or She must possess any of the above qualifications or the qualification mentioned below namely:-

M.Sc. degree or its equivalent with Wireless Communication, Electronics, Radio Physics or Radio Engineering as a special subject

After Completing Your B.E In CSE You Are Eligible to Appear In IAS Exams, And You are Not Eligible For Appear In IES Exams Because In IES Exams Only Engineering Students For the Branch Of Electronic, Civil, Mechanical And the CSE Students Can Not Apply for IES Exams.

the eligibility criterion for IAS examination is graduation degree in any discipline from any recognized university. so after completion of your graduation degree in computer science engineering you will be eligible for IAS examination. but your age must be in Between 21 to 30 if you belongs to general category and also you have o fulfill other eligibility criterion like you must have Indian Citizen ship etc. for reserved candidate there are relaxation as per government rules.

for IES(Indian Engineering Services) the eligible four branch of engineering are

Civil Engineering
Mechanical Engineering
Electrical Engineering
Electronics & telecommunication Engineering

so as you are from computer science engineering branch so you are not eligible for IES examination.
