Re: Is it true that degree students are directly eligible for CA IPCC irrespective of CA-CPT?

Yes, if you hold any degree in commerce field like B.Com or B.A., you can directly apply for IPCC irrespective of CPT.

There are 3 levels in CA course

>>CPT
>>IPCC
>>Final

After passing IPCC, you are eligible to appear for final examinations. If you clear all these 3 stages, you will become a successful Chartered Accountant in India.

Re: Is it true that degree students are directly eligible for CA IPCC irrespective of CA-CPT?

I have completed my B.Sc degree in 2009 with economics honours & secured 47.13%.
I have cleared MAT exam with 91.76 percentile in 2011 & done my MBA under WBUT.
Can I get direct admission in CA - IPCC instead of giving CA - CPT?

Hiiiiiii,
BCCA course had a wide scope in future and had a better opportunities for students.
The best option after BCCA is to get admission in MCA course.
After your course You can go for MBA and M.COM and also B.Com.
So if BCCA pass out(you) are interested in IT or software field, You have to have join MCA course in reputed university. MCA degree is equivalent to B.E from computer science from hiring point of view for most of IT companies.

Re: Is it true that degree students are directly eligible for CA IPCC irrespective of CA-CPT?

Yes students who have completed degree in any discipline are eligible for direct entry to IPCC level of CA course.

You would not have to appear for CA CPT exam & would be eligible for direct entry if-
You are a commerce graduate with minimum 55%,or
You are non commerce graduates with minimum 60%,or
You are CS or CWA Final exam pass candidate.

Best of luck
