Yes, its necessary that you must have passed 10+2 to join NDA but if your are appearing in 10+2 then you may apply for the exam but even on clearing the test you'll be selected for the post only then if you've passed your 10+2.  Eligibility: 1. Candidate must have passed 10+2 with PCM from recognized board with at least 55 percent marks. 2. Age Limit: 16.5-19 years 3. Only male candidates can apply. 4. The candidate must be citizen of India. 5. Only unmarried male candidates allowed. Wish you all the very best. |

Re: Is it necessary to be passed class 12 to give the exam of NDA? yes, it is neccessary to pass the 10+2 with pcm(physics chemistry maths) , then only you are eligible for NDA (national defence examinayion)exam which is conducted every year by the upsc. |

Re: Is it necessary to be passed class 12 to give the exam of NDA? Dear friend; It is necessary to be passed class 12 to give the exam of NDA. Because the critera is ; you must have intermediate or its equivalent degree. So frist you clear the 10+2 exam then go for NDA. |

Re: Is it necessary to be passed class 12 to give the exam of NDA? You may give exam in the middle of +2 also but you will be selected after clearing your twelveth.Most of the student give this paper in +2 to see its outline and to prepare well for next year. |

Hello, The Educational Qualifications are as follows: For Army wing of National Defence Academy :- 12th Class pass of the 10+2 pattern of School Education or equivalent examination conducted by a State Education Board or a University. For Air Force and Naval Wings of National Defence Academy and for the 10+2 (Executive Branch) Course at the Naval Academy :- 12th Class pass of the 10+2 pattern of School Education or equilvalent with Physics and Mathematics conducted by a State Education Board or a University. So as clearly mentioned, you have to pass +2 then only are you eligible to sit for the exam. So kindly do not get misguided. Concentrate on your studies, and thereafter you can apply for the same. Those candidates who are currently studying in 12th class can also apply for the entrance examination. For Navy and Air Force candidates should have had Physics & Mathematics in Class 12th. Also a candidate must be more than 16 & 1/2 years and less than 19 years of age as on 1st January, 2011. Additionally a candidate must be physically and medically fit according to the specified requirements. |

Re: Is it necessary to be passed class 12 to give the exam of NDA? dear friend, No ,it is not at all necessary to be passed 12th exam to appear for NDA.you can also give it while appearing for 12th standard.then it will be considerable .And if you clear the written test then they will call you for an interview. you can also have it when you are in 11th standard .but then even you clear the exam you will not be called for an interview or any proceeding test followed by it.
