Re: Can I join Military Academy after 10th? No, you can not join Indian Military Academy after 10th. But after 12th you can join the same through NDA entrance exam and after Graduation through CDS. NDA stands for NATIONAL DEFENCE ACADEMY, the exam for which is conducted by UPSC twice every year for entry in to Indian Army, Navy and Air Force wing of NDA. The eligible candidate must be an unmarried Indian male having either appear for the final 12th exam or pass in any stream from a recognised Board within the age of 16.5 to 19 years with good Physical and Mental health. CDS stands for COMBINED DEFENCE SERVICE, the exam for which is conducted bu UPSC twice every year for entry in to Indian Military Academy, Naval Academy, Air Force Academy and Officer's Training Academy of CDS. The eligible candidate must be an Indian unmarried male having either appear for the final Graduation Degree exam or pass in any stream from a recognised University within the age of 19 to 24 years with good Physical Fitness, is eligible to apply for Indian Military Academy of CDS. Re: Can I join Military Academy after 10th? Hi friend. The minimum educational qualification required to join Indian Military Academy is +2. Candidates who have qualified +2 level of examination with physics , chemistry and maths are eligible to join the technical department of IMA. Apart from this, candidates with a bachelors degree are eligible to join IMA through CDS exam conducted by UPSC(Union public service commission). If you want to join the IMA after +2, you will have to score a minimum of 70% aggregate in Physics, Chemistry and Maths. But if you are not interested in joining the Technical Department, you will have to complete your graduation and appear for the CDS exam. There are Different ways to join IMA Dehradun. its a Sub stage to get into Armed Forces. Re: Can I join Military Academy after 10th? hi friend.. sorry to tell you that u cant apply for military academy after 10th.. minimum criteria for joining is that u have to pass class 12..and even there is age limit.. from 16 to 19 years only.. so finish ur class 12 and try for it... till the all the best for it... thank you.. |

By appearing NDA exam,you can join in Military Academy. Eligibility criteria for NDA exam: Candidate should have completed 12th standard with PCM stream from an recognized university. And the eligibility criteria for NDA is - Candidates who have completed 12th or going to appear for the class 12 or its equal exam are eligible to submit an application for this exam. Candidates who are appearing for the NDA exam must be unmarried males. They must be atleast 16 1/2 years old and not more than 19 years on January 1st or July 1st of the year subsequent to the year of the exam. Re: Can I join Military Academy after 10th? Friend, To join any of these streams first of all you need to complete your 12th standard. Also do take the science in your +2 level stream during the 12th standard as this also one of the requirements. Make sure to start preparing for the entrance exams which are conducted. There are quite a few training academies like the Indian Military Academy for those interested in joining Army. If you would like to join the Air Force then you have options like Dundigul. You need to decide which of these is best suited for you. To join any of these streams it is must that you should be physically fit. On clearing the entrance exam you will also need to clear the physical fitness test. All the best |

Following is the criteria: Post- Solidier general duty(you will be designated at this post) Educational qualification- SSLC/Matric with 45% marks in aggregate.No percentage required if higher qualification. Age limit- 17 1/2 to 21 years |
