ofcourse! you can join Military after 10th.
but the minimum marks should 45% in 10th. and the age limit should in between 18 to 23 years.

ya u can join but don't expect for higher posting there. Its better to join after completing your UG course.

You can join Indian Army after matriculation.

Following is the criteria:

Post- Solidier general duty(you will be designated at this post)

Educational qualification- SSLC/Matric with 45% marks in aggregate.No percentage required if higher qualification.

Age limit- 17 1/2 to 21 years

To join any of these streams first of all you need to complete your 12th standard. Also do take the science in your +2 level stream during the 12th standard as this also one of the requirements. Make sure to start preparing for the entrance exams which are conducted. There are quite a few training academies like the Indian Military Academy for those interested in joining Army. If you would like to join the Air Force then you have options like Dundigul. You need to decide which of these is best suited for you. To join any of these streams it is must that you should be physically fit. On clearing the entrance exam you will also need to clear the physical fitness test.

One can join Military Academy through NDA.


And the eligibility criteria for NDA is -

Candidates who have completed 12th or going to appear for the class 12 or its equal exam are eligible to submit an application for this exam.

Candidates who are appearing for the NDA exam must be unmarried males. They must be atleast 16 1/2 years old and not more than 19 years on January 1st or July 1st of the year subsequent to the year of the exam.

The minimum educational qualification required to join Indian Military Academy is +2. Candidates who have qualified +2 level of examination with physics , chemistry and maths are eligible to join the technical department of IMA.
Apart from this, candidates with a bachelors degree are eligible to join IMA through CDS exam conducted by UPSC.
If you want to join the IMA after +2, you will have to score a minimum of 70% aggregate in Physics, Chemistry and Maths. But if you are not interested in joining the Technical Department, you will have to complete your graduation and appear for the CDS exam.

No,you cannot join any Defense service with 10th qualification.
To appear for Defense service,you should complete 12th standard.
By appearing NDA exam,you can join in Military Academy.

Eligibility criteria for NDA exam:
Candidate should have completed 12th standard with PCM stream from an recognized university.

Dear Friend,

Minimum qualification to join Military Academy is ten plus two. Please complete that first and then apply.

The exam is conducted by UPSC each year.

sorry to tell you that u cant apply for military academy after 10th..
minimum criteria for joining is that u have to pass class 12..and even there is age limit.. from 16 to 19 years only..
so finish ur class 12 and try for it...

YES you can apply for NDA.

NDA is an exam that is being conducted twice a year to recruit candidates for defence services.

Eligibility criteria for NDA exam is :

no friend.first you need to complete your 10+2.so that youcan enter.

There are Different ways to join IMA Dehradun. its a Sub stage to get into Armed Forces. IMA is a Training academy where Graduates, NDA candidates treated One year heavily to boost their physical stamina.


To Get into IMA you have ample to Entries.

After 10+2

Through NDA :-

if you clear the NDA Exam and your Preference is Army then you will be treated 3 years in NDA Khadakwasla , Pune then One year in IMA Dehradun.

After Graduation

If you take Engineering Degree as your Graduation, then you can have

Through UES

i.e University Entry Scheme in Army Final and Pre Final year Students can apply for this, if you clear SSB , then you will be treated One Year in IMA.

Through CDSE

i.e Combined Defense Service Examination. Final year Students can write this. You can opt Air Force , Army or Navy , if you select Army and clears SSB then you will be Entered into IMA directly for One year Training.

Through SSC or TGC

i.e Short Service Commission and Technical Graduate Scheme. Final year Technical Graduate can apply for both the Entries and Procedure is same as Above i.e One year IMA if selected in SSB
