Re: Is there any scope in Biomedical Science? hello Bio Medical Science has a Great Scope in India And it is a research oriented science, a combination of Biology and Technology. If you want to join a course in biomedical, you must have a background in science, that is Physics or agriculture, chemistry and biology at the intermediate level can join for B.Tech. So, Biomedical as a subject has grown rapidly And as far as employment is concerned, it has become one of the fast growing sector. And after Complrting this Course You can find careers with pharmaceutical companies, chemical, agriculture and allied industries. And You can Also be employed in the areas of planning, production and management of bio-processing industries. |

Hi Dear, Now a days if you observe the job prospects for a Biomedical engineer you will come to know that there are lots of opportunities after completion of the course.There are various fields where you can get a good job like medical equipments manufacturing, orthopedic and rehabilitation engineering, molecular, cellular and tissue engineering. Also there are some public and corporate sectors which you can fit in according to your satisfaction. If you have interest in the research field, there are still many untouched topics in the stream.Furthermore, you can opt for higher studies abroad by appearing for GRE and TOEFL exams. As for you dear friend, after life sciences i would suggest you can do M.Sc. in different sub-disciplines of the Biomedical stream like 1. Bionics 2. Cellular, Tissue, and Genetic Engineering 3. I am B.H.M.S graduate, having last 8 years of clinical experience.Now i wanted to apply for Phd in biotechnolgy or bioengineering in US. basically my graduation includes anatomy, physiology, pathology, pharmacy, study of gynecology- obstetrics, and surgery. medicine. At college level having two years of maths, chemistry, physics, biology. is this criteria is enough for applying for phd . i m also preparing for GRE and TOFEL also. |

India need more biomedical science students. Students did not take up this responsibility because they felt that job opportunities are limited. As the health care sector grows and becomes more dynamic, the need for this group is going to be high. So I will advise to take up M.Sc after completing your graduation in this field. Re: Is there any scope in Biomedical Science? hello, Biomedical field is good stream to select as there is a good scope. But before doing so since you are in the second year you need to check which areas you most comfortable. Choose the stream on that basis. If interested you can go for MSC also. |
