Re: Is there any scope in Biomedical Science?
Biomedical field is good stream to select as there is a good scope. But before doing so since you are in the second year you need to check which areas you most comfortable. Choose the stream on that basis. If interested you can go for MSC also.

Re: Is there any scope in Biomedical Science?
There is boom in the biomedical course. so the scope of biomedical is very vast, in India and also in the foreign countries there is very vast scope of biomedical.
you can do further study with the degree of biomedical or in teh field of scientest there is also the jobs are available. A biomedical scientist (or biomedical doctor, biomedician, medical scientist), is a scientist educated in the field of biological science, especially in the context of medicine. Biomedical scientists are typically active in biomedical research in fields such as Anatomy, Physiology, Pharmacology, or Microbiology and may have contact with patients in research protocols or in medical laboratory. Throughout the world these scientists work as engineers or technologists to find innovative ways to cure diseases by developing advanced diagnostic tools and treatment methodologies where physicians and pathologists play a pivotal role. so you role in the world is very important. |

Now a days if you observe the job prospects for a Biomedical engineer you will come to know that there are lots of opportunities after completion of the course. There are various fields where you can get a good job like medical equipments manufacturing, orthopedic and rehabilitation engineering, molecular, cellular and tissue engineering. Also there are some public and corporate sectors which you can fit in according to your satisfaction. If you have interest in the research field, there are still many untouched topics in the stream.Furthermore, you can opt for higher studies abroad by appearing for GRE and TOEFL exams. As for you dear friend, after life sciences i would suggest you can do M.Sc. in different sub-disciplines of the Biomedical stream like 1. Bionics 2. Cellular, Tissue, and Genetic Engineering 3. Systems Physiology 4. Bionanotechnology 5. Neural Engineering Best of luck for your future!!! |

Re: Is there any scope in Biomedical Science?
SCOPE OF BIO MEDICAL SCIENCE:
The basic problem is that the number of biomedical graduates is limited. There are not enough courses too. India need more biomedical science students. Students did not take up this responsibility because they felt that job opportunities are limited. As the health care sector grows and becomes more dynamic, the need for this group is going to be high. So I will advise to take up M.Sc after completing your graduation in this field. You have a shining career if you work hard.... So all the best.... |
