Re: Can I expect an NIT with AIEEE AIR of 21671 with state rank of 3071? dear friend your AIEEE AIR is good, and so there will be a chance of getting NITs. but to get NITs you have to wait for 2nd or 3rd counceling. you need to upgrade your choice in the 1st counseling. you will surely get NITs. its better to give pfefences of your state NIT, as in that particular NIT ,there is reservation for you. and you should take advantage of that. |

Re: Can I expect an NIT with AIEEE AIR of 21671 with state rank of 3071? dear friend you have good rank in AIEEE but not satisfactory to get admission into NITs. you can confirm a seat if your rank is below 12000. but the cutoff varies every year and many new NITs have been opened in the recent years. so you should wait for the counseling because there is a probability that you will get a college. all the best. |

An all India rank above 20000 can't expect an NIT in the first round of counseling but there are many more colleges stuck with the AIEEE and you can easily get those colleges. Also, if you go through the past year opening and closing rank then you can see that people get an NIT even above AIR 20K but that can happen in the subsequent round of counseling because many students leave their seats if they get some better option in the same arena or in some different one. So you should attend the counseling carefully after critically examining all the rounds of counseling of past two years. Visit the CCB website to get the opening and closing rank details of past two years. www.ccb.nic.in |
