sir my air rank in aieee2011 is 21671... and i belong to u.p. and my state ranking is 3071... can i expect any nit?

Your all India rank is at very critical point.

An all India rank above 20000 can't expect an NIT in the first round of counseling

but there are many more colleges stuck with the AIEEE and you can easily get

those colleges. Also, if you go through the past year opening and closing rank then

you can see that people get an NIT even above AIR 20K but that can happen in the

subsequent round of counseling because many students leave their seats if they

get some better option in the same arena or in some different one.

So you should attend the counseling carefully after critically examining all the rounds

of counseling of past two years.

Visit the CCB website to get the opening and closing rank details of past two years.

Your AIR is not good but yes, your state rank is good.

I would like to said you to apply from state quota.

It may be possible that you can take admission in any NIT.

you have good rank in AIEEE but not satisfactory to get admission into NITs.

you can confirm a seat if your rank is below 12000.

but the cutoff varies every year and many new NITs have been opened in the recent years.

so you should wait for the counseling because there is a probability that you will get a college.

Your all india ranking is a little short of being confirmed a seat in the NITs.
It is quite necessary for you to observe the previous year's placement rankings. you can also get a seat in thi NITs if those wit slight better rankings opt for other colleges and courses. but you also have many other good colleges like
Bhagwant University, Ajmer (Rajasthan)
Institute of Technology, Guru Ghasidas Vishwa Vidhyalaya, Bilaspur(C.G)
1.Jagannath University, Jaipur (Rajasthan
2.Sharda University, Greater Noida
3.Indian Institute of Information Technology, Allahabad
4.IIIT D&M, Kancheepuram, Tamilnadu.
there are many more better rngineering colleges available..

yeh u can .u didnt given any information about your state if there is any nit in ur state u will get biotechnology and chemical .if no nit in ur state u can expect chemical.if u belong to obc category and there is a nit in ur state u can expect civil .if u belong to sc or st category u can get mechanical and ece

your AIEEE AIR is good, and so there will be a chance of getting NITs.
but to get NITs you have to wait for 2nd or 3rd counceling.
you need to upgrade your choice in the 1st counseling.
you will surely get NITs.
its better to give pfefences of your state NIT,
as in that particular NIT ,there is reservation for you.
and you should take advantage of that.

well yes you have a very good chance of getting your desired seat,

since you have a very good state rank.. i would suggest you to contact

and discuss with seniors at NIT, and you must be patient in counseling as

you may have to wait for 2nd/ 3rd round for your desired seats

HEY friend...YOU HAVE GOT A GREAT RANK IN AIEEE.so...congratulations for it.You can try for lower ranked NIT or through home state quota as yoour state rank is very good.And i think your state rank will get you admission in NIT Allahabad or IIIT.
so...just attend the counselling till last few rounds and join immediately....BEST OF LUCK...
