Re: Can a B.Tech computer science student apply for IES exam? Hello Friend, UPSC conducts IES Exam every year. The Eligibility for IES is 1. Degree in Engineering 2. Age Limit : 21-30 Years. So, According to the above requirements for IES Exam, you are definitely eligible to write IES Exam. No computer Engineering students are not eligible for Indian Engineering service exam.Indian Engineering Service exam is conducted by upsc every year once.This exam is conducted to intake qualified engineers for Government sector in different departments. To appear for this exam Education qualification: You should minimum graduation degree in Engineering from any one branch mentioned below >>Electrical Engineering >>Electronic and Telecommunication Engineering >>Mechanical Engineering >>Civil Engineering Age limit: Age should be between 21 to 30 years. Re: Can a B.Tech computer science student apply for IES exam? hello friend Actually according to mentioned eligibility criteria in advertisement you can apply for IES,but you can not get your own paper (Computer science).You have to appear any one of the following four paper i.e. Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Electronics & Telecommunication Engineering) detailed you can get in the below given link http://www.upsc.gov.in |

But the examination is conducted in only four disciplines of engineering which do not include computer science, therefore you will have to write papers of any of the following engineering groups: Civil Mechanical Electrical Electronics and telecommunication The minimum eligible age is 21 years and the maximum age limit is 30 years. Re: Can a B.Tech computer science student apply for IES exam? dear friend, Chartered Accountant Common Proficiency Test, which is also known as CA CPT Exam, is conducted by Institute of Chartered Accountants of India for admitting students to Chartered Accountancy course. The test is an entry level exam. The institute conducts Chartered Accountant Common Proficiency Test (CA CPT) four times a year, at various cities across India. Eligibility: The aspirants can join the Chartered Accountancy course after clearing CA CPT Exam. Given below are the eligibility criteria for chartered accountancy. The students must have passed 10+2 examination or its equivalent, from any recognized Board. Candidates, who have passed B.Com, M.Com, LLB, ICWA, CS or MBA at the first attempt, are also eligible to apply. The candidates, who have appeared or appearing in final year of the qualifying examination, are also eligible to apply. As per the previous year date of exam, it will held in the middle of September.. But this year notification for September month is not announced yet.. so, you have to wait.. it will be announced soon.. All the best.. |

Re: Can a B.Tech computer science student apply for IES exam? Yes you can apply for IES examination but the only troubles which arises is that you have to deviate from you current field of study. As your current field of study is not available to go for IES. So,if you want to go for IES ,you will be required to change your stream in future run. Hence,decide accordingly and go ahead. IES Eligibility Criteria- Educational Qualifications : you have Degree in : • Electrical Engineering • Electronics & Communications Engineering • Civil Engineering • Mechanical Engineering M.Sc. degree in Wireless Communication, Electronics, Radio Physics or Radio Engineering as a special subject is also also eligible for this exam. Age Limits - your age for this exam should be 21-30 years at the time of exam. You are also eligible for IES exam because you are doing graduation and graduation student can apply for this exam. |

NO, the b. tech. computer scuence student is not eligible for the IES EXAM. so, you are not eligible for this exam. but the a another way to give exam is that you have to choose another branch like electrical... after it your exam is conducted in accordance to the chooseable branch. thanks.. |

Hello, As per the examination eligibility criteria a computer science student can not apply for the IES exam which is conducted by UPSC every year. But a computer science student can apply for the other branch subject as there is no any paper for the computer science branch. So i think you can apply for the other paper rather than computer science. |

And If You are Pursuing your B.tech Course in Computer science Field and you are in your final year engineering degree course, then you are eligible for IES Examination.
