Re: What are the posts one will get after IAS and PCS? Is there any difference in the payscale? Post is totally dependent on your rank and your choice.. In the current synario most of the students preffered for post IAS who cleared civil services examination.. Other posts which anyone get after selection are given below. IAS IPS IRS IFS and other central government services.. The very first post offered in these services are given below Deputy collector (IAS) DSP (IPS) Assistant commissioner (IRS) and so on .. |

IAS and PCS are both top of the line government services, IAS is central government job and you get higher ranked services the first posting is as SDO, from PCS it will take you several years to become SDO after first posting, Another difference is that with IAS career scope is much more and you can go on to become secretary chief secretary and further as home secretary cabinet secretary etc in central government. these opportunities will not be available if you join PCS. There is not much difference in Payscale |

Is there any difference in the payscale? after getting rank you will be allotted to a particular cadre it may be IAS IPS,IFS etc. in this cadre you will be get trained for 1 to 2 years and then placed in a junior officer range with basic pay of 15k this is just temporary while you get increased with experience your salary and position. |

Dear friend the latest pay scales of IAS/IPS services after 6th pay commission recommendations declared by the Government is given in the attachment. Old scale of Rs 8000-13500 revised to 15600-39100 & so on. |

IAS: Indian administrative service. it one of the topmost posts in the government of india, with the highest honour and the payscale of any employee of the government. u wil be given a post depending upon the ranking u get. if u score good u may get to work in the home state of urs. ur eligible to be called to work for the central governement and attain the highest ministry secretary posts also. u hav a approximate pay scale of 60k, according to 6th pay commission PCS: punjab civil services. this is a state level administrative programme with the honour of serving the state government. the category is quite different form the IAS officers and so is the pay scale. regards,.. |

preliminary Mains Interview after getting rank you will be allotted to a particular cadre it may be IAS IPS,IFS etc. etc. in this cadre you will be get trained for 1 to 2 years and then placed in a junior officer range with basic pay of 15k this is just temporary while you get increased with experience your salary and position will also have huge hikes so all you need to do is work sincerely and get appreciation from all the sides then you can become a good officer. First you need to clear the examination from the first level afterwards you will get a clear picture about the career in that . but one thing we can say is the career in civil services will be very bright all the best for your goal regards ~A~ |
