The posts one can expect after clearing IAS all the three levels i.e.,

preliminary

Mains

Interview

after getting rank you will be allotted to a particular cadre it may be IAS IPS,IFS etc. etc.

in this cadre you will be get trained for 1 to 2 years and then placed in a junior officer range

with basic pay of 15k

this is just temporary while you get increased with experience your salary and position will also have huge hikes so all you need to do is work sincerely and get appreciation from all the sides

then you can become a good officer.

First you need to clear the examination from the first level afterwards you will get a clear picture about the career in that .

but one thing we can say is the career in civil services will be very bright

after clearing IAS, there are three tests are conducted
1. premilinary
2. mains
3. interviews

you finish and passed all these test. they will give posts IAS, IPS, IFS, etc.

IAS: Indian administrative service.

it one of the topmost posts in the government of india, with the highest honour and the payscale of any employee of the government.

u wil be given a post depending upon the ranking u get. if u score good u may get to work in the home state of urs.

ur eligible to be called to work for the central governement and attain the highest ministry secretary posts also. u hav a approximate pay scale of 60k, according to 6th pay commission

PCS: punjab civil services.

this is a state level administrative programme with the honour of serving the state government.

the category is quite different form the IAS officers and so is the pay scale.

the latest pay scales of IAS/IPS services after 6th pay commission recommendations declared by the Government is given in the attachment.
Old scale of Rs 8000-13500 revised to 15600-39100 & so on.

yes there is difference in their payscale. ias is much better than pcs.

i am a commerce field student and want to do ias in commerce and accountancy field if i cleared the exam what post'll i get in this field

Don't you even have slightest of sense of what you are talking!!! IAS : Adminstrative Services under Union Public Service Commission and PCS means : Provincial Civil Services(not PUNJAB Civil Services) that covers all the states'(Provinces) civil services:: the change in level : for example Difference between Powers of Prime Minister and Chief Minister.
