Friends, I want to secure admission for PhD in Biotechnology program in Mumbai University. I would like to know which entrance exam is there for getting admission? Kindly tell me about the cutoff marks also for getting admission.

Candidates have to appear in the entrance exam called UGC NET, SET and GATE to study PhD Biotechnology at Mumbai University.

Candidates must have a post graduate degree from a recognised university with minimum 55%marks.

Admission to the PhD programme is granted to candidates who have secured a valid PhD entrance test score (PET)
A personal interview at the University centre will be taken .

Those who have passed the apex bodies of higher/technical/professional education such as
CSIR
UGC
NET
SET
GATE
JRF ICAR or analogous test are eligible to apply for PhD programme.

The minimum passing score in entrance exam
General category 50
Reserved category 45

The minimum educational qualification required to apply for PhD is masters degree from a recognised board with 55% marks.
