Hello everyone, I would like to know that for studying PhD in Economics, that university has to have an approval by AICTE? Is it really necessary? Please help me to know about this immediately. Thank you!

To study PhD in Economy, you must have post graduate degree with minimum 55% marks from a recognised University.

There is no age limit.

The duration of this course is 3 years.

Candidates also have to appear in the entrance exam called UGC-NET.

In case the university is not AICTE approved , it won't be able to grant technical degrees .
For technical degrees you need AICTE approval.
If a college is UGC approved then its not necessarily to be AICTE approved
Thus UGC approved college is better .
