Hi everyone, I am interested to study MDS course in Vananchal Dental College and Hospital. I would like to know about the eligibility criteria for studying this course at this institute. Please let me know immediately.

The common eligibility to get admission in MDS course is that candidate must have passed bachelor degree in dental surgery from a recognised institutions.

NEET ( National Eligibility Entrance Test ) is conducted for admission in the course.

Admission in the institutions will be conducted for candidates who have qualified in NEET.

Admission will done through Entrance examination conducted by the Jharkhand Unaided Private Dental Colleges’ Association or the NEET MDS examination.

Candidates wishing to apply for the Master in Dental Surgery Course must hold a Bachelor in Dental Surgery course from a recognized university.
The candidates must also have undergone a rotatory internship of one year in any recognized dental college.

Application for MDS course is accepted through offline mode only.

Eligibility to pursue MDS in Vananchal Dental College and Hospital:-

The minimum required percentage of marks for eligibility for admission to Postgraduate Dental Courses shall be 50% for general category candidates and 40% for the candidates belonging to other Backward Caste, Scheduled Caste and Scheduled Tribes.

NRI candidates can also apply to the course. Separate merit list is created for them.

In addition to the entrance examinations scores, candidates previous academic performance will also be considered during admission.

Besides the entrance examination conducted by JUPDCA, valid scores in entrance examination such as in NEET MDS or any equivalent examination conducted by a nationalised body may also be considered.

1. Candidates applying for BDS course must have passed 10+2 or any equivalent examination with minimum 50% aggregate marks in PCB taken together should have passed in English separately.

Candidates who have qualified CBSE Medical, State Combined Medical Entrance Examination or any such equivalent examination can also apply to BDS course.Candidates applying to the MDS course must possess a BDS degree from a recognized university or any other equivalent qualification recognized by the Dental Council of India.
4. Admissions to the MDS course are done on the basis of merit obtained in Entrance examination conducted by the Jharkhand Unaided Private Dental Colleges’ Association or the NEET MDS examination.

PG Diploma with a duration of 2 years recognized by the Dental Council of India in a particular specialization are also eligible to apply to the MDS course with the same specialty

The eligibility to study MDS (Master of Dental Surgery) at Vananchal Dental College and Hospital is a candidate must have passed BDS in the relevant field from a recognized university. The candidate age should not be less than 20 years. Admission selection will be done on the basis of merit in the NEET MDS examination or the entrance examination which is conducted by the Jharkhand Unaided Private Dental Colleges Association followed by a counseling.
