The applicant need a bachelor's degree in an area such as food science, chemistry, microbiology, or a related field. So the applicant can pursue MSc from a stream in which he is interested.

I will advice you to pursue MSc in Food Science if you want to become a Food Scientist. But it is not necessary that you should have graduation in Food science to become a food scientist. So, if you have more interest in Microbiology than Food Science you can choose that as well. The duration of this course is 2 years.

Delhi University
Mumbai University
Chandigarh University

These are some universities where you can pursue your MSc.
