Hello everyone, I am interested to appear in GATE of this year. But I don’t know about the pattern of this year GATE. I would like to know about the pattern of this entrance exam so that I can get admission in MTech course. Waiting for your response!

The examination pattern of GATE 2019 is given below:

Examination mode – online

Duration of examination – 3 hours

Number of questions – 65

Total Marks – 100

Type of questions – Multiple Choice Questions (MCA) and Numerical Answer Type (NAT) Questions

Number of sections – 3

General Aptitude

Engineering Mathematics (for XL papers it is Chemistry)

Subject Specialization Section

Marking Scheme:

1 marks MCQs – 1/3 marks will be deducted for every wrong answer
2 mark MCQs – 2/3 marks will be deducted for every wrong answer
No negative marking for Numerical Answer Type (NAT) questions
