Default Re: Why BHMS doctors are not eligible for PGD or PG in obstretrics and gynaecology?

BHMS (Bachelor of Homeopathic Medicine and Surgery) doctors are not eligible for PGD or PG in Obstetrics and Gynaecology because the focus of their undergraduate training is on homeopathy, rather than allopathic medicine. Obstetrics and gynecology is a specialized branch of allopathic medicine that requires a deep understanding of modern medical practices, surgical techniques, and treatments. BHMS doctors are trained in homeopathic principles and therapies, which are different from those used in allopathic medicine.

However, there are other options available for BHMS doctors who are interested in pursuing higher studies in Obstetrics and Gynecology. They can pursue a postgraduate degree in alternative medicine in this field, such as a Postgraduate Diploma in Naturopathy and Yoga or a Postgraduate Diploma in Alternative Medicine (Obstetrics and Gynecology). These courses will provide them with knowledge and skills in alternative treatments that can be used alongside traditional allopathic medicine.

Alternatively, BHMS doctors can consider pursuing a diploma or certification course in Obstetrics and Gynecology, which will provide them with a basic understanding of the field and can enhance their skills and career prospects. However, it's important to note that these courses may have limitations on the scope of practice and may not allow BHMS doctors to practice Obstetrics and Gynecology independently.
