Usually as a fresher the best way to get the job is via campus placement because all core and software companies use to take in fresh candidates only in this way and calling for walk-in is very limited.

So, if you have completed the course completely and didn't get a chance for the campus placement then you can start searching for off-campus placement. As of the latest information there is one off-campus placement going to happen in Coimbatore, TamilNadu. So, if you are from TamilNadu then probably you can try for this,

DATE & REPORTING TIME: February 15th , 2014 Time: 8.30 AM

After completing B.Tech in Electrical Engineering, if you are interested in core companies please have a look below

1. Through GATE :
Prepare for GATE well try t get a good score there and there are many companies who hire people through GATE score.

2. Without GATE :
You can always go and drop your CV in individual companies . They will shortlist CV's and will call you. Continue your preparation and make sure you will do well when you have the call

Finding a job in the core sector as a fresher can be a challenging task, but there are several steps you can take to increase your chances:

Enhance Your Technical Skills: Invest time in developing and enhancing your technical skills relevant to the core sector. Stay updated with the latest technologies, tools, and industry trends. Consider pursuing certifications or specialized courses to showcase your expertise.

Gain Practical Experience: Seek internships, apprenticeships, or entry-level positions in companies operating in the core sector. Practical experience will not only provide you with valuable hands-on knowledge but also demonstrate your commitment and dedication to potential employers.

Network with Professionals: Build a strong professional network by attending industry events, job fairs, and seminars. Connect with professionals through platforms like LinkedIn and join relevant industry groups or associations. Networking can open doors to job opportunities and provide valuable insights and guidance.

Customize Your Resume and Cover Letter: Tailor your resume and cover letter to highlight your technical skills, relevant coursework, projects, internships, and any industry-related achievements. Showcase your enthusiasm for the core sector and how your skills align with the requirements of the job.

Leverage Job Portals and Online Platforms: Utilize online job portals, company websites, and industry-specific platforms to search for job openings in the core sector. Set up job alerts to receive notifications for relevant positions and apply to suitable opportunities promptly.

Expand Your Job Search: Look beyond traditional job listings and consider approaching companies directly, even if they don't have job postings. Send personalized emails expressing your interest in working for them and highlighting your qualifications.

Prepare for Interviews: Research the companies you apply to thoroughly and familiarize yourself with their operations, projects, and values. Practice common interview questions and be ready to demonstrate your technical knowledge and problem-solving abilities. Highlight your willingness to learn and adapt as a fresher.
