The Associate Membership of Institute of Electronics and Telecommunication Engineers or AMIETE entrance exam is for those candidates who aspire to undertake the course in any of the not so reputed engineering colleges. The exam is held twice annually and consists of two papers, with each of the papers having twenty theory based papers and a single compulsory projects work. However a candidate can move from Paper I to Paper II if he or she passed at least seven subjects with an aggregate of 70%. There are three subjects in which the papers are divided, which are Information Technology, Computer Science & Engineering and Electronics and Telecom Engineering.
