The paper of Basics of OS, UNIX & Shell Programming states its own meaning in the computer programming and also helping the candidates to build the basics knowledge about the computers. The questions pattern is simply distributed in two groups, first group keep the short answer type questions and the second group has long and conceptual type questions. The timing of this exam is of three hours. Each subgroup of section one will carry 10 marks and in other section each subgroup will carry 12 marks. Furthermore the candidates, who will submit the first section paper, will immediately get the second section paper.
