Sathyabama University is regarded for its excellent teaching methodologies not only in Tamil Nadu but also in whole of India. It has many departments, all majoring in subjects of science and technology apart from a few management and art subjects. Their B Arch exam has certain topics stipulated only to help students make accurate derivations and inductions from the mathematical problems. The problems are dictated by questions on sets and functions, complex numbers, matrices, quadratic equations and probabilities. The bulk of the syllabus is taken up by theorems and series though a lot of the content is dominated by differential calculus too namely trigonometry, exponential functions, logarithms etc. Integral calculus is another key part that is corroborated with graphs and figures for their speedy application into the practical field. The course stipulations create an indelible understanding of the concepts which enable learners not just apply them but remember them even after completion of the course.
