sir i have done my 12th with haryana open school i got 51.6% marks in arts can i get admission in dav clg of chandigarh or any other college in chandigarh

51.6% is very low. You can try and take admission in the arts department in colleges. Mostly, colleges will not allow a candidate with aggregate score below 60% in commerce or other stream. Even if some colleges do allow, that will not help you in future. In future you will be looking for jobs in finance sectors, or as interns in commerce departments or as junior associates in IT sectors. In that case they will look for candidates with 60% or more only. Then if you have a commerce or arts degree it will not help. So better you take up forms in most colleges in Chandigarh for Arts stream only. Then fill up the form and submit it.
You will be called in due time to sit for an admission test. If you clear that admission test you will be able to get admitted in arts stream.

It depends on the eligibility criteria specified by the different Universities.Maximum universities have criteria that you must have to score at least 60 percent in your secondary education for getting admission in the graduation course.However you don't need to be worry there are some private reputed universities also where your percentage comes under eligibility criteria.For getting admission in the DAV college Chandigarh you have to score 60 percent in 12th class,as your percentage is below 60% so you are not eligible for getting admission in DAV college.
