What is the 'Best of Five' scheme for SSC board, Maharashtra?
I have heard about 'best of five' scheme for SSC board students. So kindly tell me in detail about this scheme? Waiting for a positive reply from you.

According to Best of Five scheme for SSC board, Maharashtra candidate can choose five best subjects among the six which they can appear for the examination.
Candidate can choose five subjects from these six subjects : English, Marathi, Hindi, Mathematics, Social Science and Science. |

Normally, you have to appear for six subjects in the board exam. Your marks will be considered in 5 subjects in which you have got good marks. The subject with the least marks will not be counted to calculate the percentage.
This ensures that even if you fail in one subject then also you will be declared passed by the board. This is called best of five scheme which most of the state board follow. |

I got 38 marks in the SSC board exam in March 2014 as a repeater for Mathematics but I was declared a failure, and on the back of the mark sheet it is written that,35 marks in each subject..Are necessary then why did I fail anyway?So wouldn%u2019t the Best of 5 rule apply to me?
