Sir, my son's date of birth is 23.01.2018, now I am confused where I have to put him i.e. in which class should I get him admitted. Please tell me what is the age limit for LKG in 2022-23 CBSE schools?

As per the guidelines of the central board of secondary education (CBSE), the age of the student should be between 3+ years to 4+ years to get admission in LKG under CBSE Schools.

It is the responsibility of Directorate of State Education to determine the age limit criteria for the same.

As per new rules set under RTE quota for admission in LKG and Nursery school students having age between 3.5 years and 4.5 years are eligible for admission to kindergarten, nursery and LKG schools.

As per the new rule, there is an age relaxation of 30 days, for both lower and upper age limits.
