The Management Practice paper of the BBM Degree Exam is a paper of 100 marks allotting three hours to the examinees. Management Practice paper consists of 2 sections, the first containing short note type questions and the second which deals with descriptive questions. Answers need to be brief and precise as the question topics are very straightforward. The short note type questions expect the students to discuss the topics answered with sufficient examples and analysis. Some of the common topics which come up in the questions every year are Nature and importance of performance budgeting, determinants of decrentralisation and the importance of management education. The students should put in their own inputs too, because questions like evaluation of the branch manager as a leader are also common questions. All these questions have to be succinctly answered in 200 words. The 400 word answers cover topics such how a bank can be organized, critical evaluation of management practices or control techniques.
