Employee’s State Insurance Corporation was established under the Government of India as a social security organization. The major objective behind the establishment of the corporation was to provide various types of benefits to the employees based on their requirements. Employee’s State Insurance Corporation also provides medical benefits to the people through the means of some hospitals. ESI Hospital, K.K. Nagar at Chennai is among one of the hospital operating under Employee’s State Insurance Corporation.

Job Profile:

Applications are invited from the eligible candidates for the engagement of Junior Residents in Employees’ State Insurance Hospital at Basaidarapur and Jhilmil. The recruitment of the candidates will be made for a period of six month on tenure basis extendable for another six months depending on their performance at the post.

Eligibility:

Candidates should not exceed 30 years of age as on 31 December 2010. Age relaxation will be provided as per rules for SC/ST and OBC candidates but for this all these reserved category candidates should produce their category certificates at the time of the personal interview test.

Educational Qualification:

MBBS from recognized university should be registered with the Medical Council of India or Delhi. Candidates should hold this degree in order to apply for the posts of Junior Residents in Employees’ State Insurance Hospital. Candidates should also have done intership completion on or before 31 December 2010. Those candidates, who have already done six month Junior Residency, are not required to apply for the post of Junior Resident in Employees’ State Insurance Hospital.

Posts Available: There are total 40 vacancies on the post of Junior Resident in Employees’ State Insurance Hospital.

Pay Scale: The emoluments that will be given to the selected candidates is Rs. 15600-39100 + Grade Pay of Rs. 5400 + other allowances as admissible under rules.

Application Fee:

No as such application fee is need to be submitted by the candidates for applying on the specified post of Junior Resident in Employees’ State Insurance Hospital.

Selection Process:

Candidates selection will be made through the conduct of a Walk-In-Interview on specified date. The Walk-In-Interview will be held on 25 January 2011 from 10 AM onwards in the committee room of administrative block of the Hospital. Candidates are required to qualify in the personal interview test otherwise their candidature will be cancelled straightaway.

How to apply: All eligible as well as interested candidates should appear on time for the Walk-In-Interview alongwith all the testimonials in original and set of photcopies duly attested.
