Assistant Director, Technical officer, Export Inspection Council of India
Export Inspection Council of India was founded by the Government of India. The university is considered as an advisory body to the Central Government. The council is empowered under the Act to Notify commodities, establish standards of quality for such commodities and specify the type of quality control. The council was established under the Export (Quality Control and Inspection) Act, 1963. The major idea behind the establishment of the council was to ensure sound development of export trade of India through Quality Control and Inspection.
Job Profile:
Eligible candidates are invited to apply on the positions of Assistant Director and Technical officer in Export Inspection Council of India. Selected candidates will be appointed in its organisations, the Export Inspection Agencies having its head offices located at Chennai, Delhi, Kolkata, Kochi and Mumbai.
Eligibility:
For both the posts of Assistant Director and Technical officer, candidates are required to have age more than 25 years but less than 35 years as on the last date of recieptof the application. Age relaxation will be provided to the SC/ST/OBC categories candidates and eligible departmental candidates as per the rules. Applications from those candidates, who are having age less than 25 years and more than 35 years, will not be considered at all.
Educational Qualification:
Candidates are required to have done Degree in Engineering/Technology or Post Graduation in Science or its equivalent from recognized university, for applying for the posts of Assistant Director and Technical Officer. Candidates must possess about 5 years of experience in inspection, standardization, testing etc in the field of Chemistry/ Food Science/ Food Technology/ Microbiology/ Dairy/ Agriculture/ Fishries/ Food & Nutritions/ Biochemistry/ Biotechnology/ Veterinary Science/ Electrical/ Computer/ Information Technology, for the post of Assistant Director. Those candidates who are applying for the post of Technical Officer, must possess about 3 years of experience in the relevant field.

Assistant Director: Total 12 posts are available.
Technical Officer: Total 5 posts are available.
Pay Scale:
Assistant Director: Rs. 15600-39100 + Grade Pay of Rs. 5400.
Technical Officer: Rs. 9300-34800 + Grade Pay of Rs. 4200.
Application Fee:
Candidates must submit an application fee of Rs. 500. The application fee must be paid in the form of a Demand Draft or Pay Order only. The demand draft must be made in favour of Export Inspection Council of India payable at New Delhi.
Selection Committee:
The final selection of candidates will be made strictly on the basis of their performances in the personal interview test with the selection committee. Candidates should prepare well for the interview test for ensuring their selection on the desired post in Export Inspection Council of India.
