Assistant Environmental Engineer, CPCB Central Pollution Control Board
Company profile: CPCB was established in the year 1974. It has been providing technical services to the ministry of environment and forests. The major functions are advising the govt. on the matters concerning the prevention of water and air pollution, coordinate the activities of the state board, preparing technical data etc.
Job profile: An assistant environmental engineer will be responsible for plan and execution of various activities involved in controlling and preventing pollution, collecting, studying and processing technical data etc.
Eligibility: A candidate must not exceed the age of 35 years. However, relaxation can be claimed.
Educational Qualifications: A candidate must have a first class engineering degree in IT/environmental/biotechnology/chemical from a recognized university or an institution. A candidate having a Master’s degree and a relevant experience will have the advantage.
No. of posts: There are 12 posts in total which are divided as UR-05, SC-02, ST-01, OBC-03 and PH-01.
Pay scale: The AEEs will be given a pay scale of Rs15600-39100 plus a grade pay of Rs5400 plus the other usual allowances as per the rules.
Selection process: The candidates will have to appear for an interview before the selection team. The selection will be based on the performance in the interview, qualifications and experience.
How to apply: The candidates are required to apply as per the prescribed format which is given on the website. No certificates are to be sent. The applications accompanied by recent passport size photographs must reach the In-Charge, Administration, (Recruitment) Division, Central Pollution Control Board, “Parivesh Bhawan”, East Arjun Nagar, Shahdara, New Delhi – 110032. The name of the post must be super scribed on the envelope containing the application.
