Chandigarh Electricity Operation Circule is governed by Engineering Department of Chandigarh Administration. The department is mainly responsible for creating entire infrastructure development in Chandigarh. The department is headed by Chief Engineer. Chandigarh Electricity Operation Circule is headed by Superintending Engineer. The circule is responsible for performing the execution of building works. The circule is also responsible for handling the maintenance of various government buildings. Superintending Engineer also heads the Electrical Circle of the engineering department.

Job Profile:

Applications are invited in the prescribed format for filling up the following vacancies of Assistant Lineman in Chandigarh Electricity Operation Circule. The recruitment of eligible (i.e. candidates fulfilling all the eligibility conditions set for the post) candiates will be made on regular or direct basis and not on any contractual basis.

Eligibility:

The minimum age limit set for the post of Assistant Lineman is 18 years.
The maximum age limit set for the post of Assistant Lineman is 25 years.

The upper age limit is relaxable for Government servants or Scheduled castes or Scheduled Tribes or Other Backward Classes categories in accordance with the Government of India rules.

Educational Qualification:

Candidates are required to have passed atleast Matric from a recognized board or university or equivalent alongwih ITI trade certificates in Lineman/Electrician/Wireman from a recognized institute. Interested candidates should also have good knowledge of Hindi/Punjabi languages. All candidates are required to have acquired the prescribed minimum educational qualification set for the post.

Pay Scale: Selected candidates will be given the prescribed amount of salary i.e. Rs. 6400-20200 with a Grade Pay of Rs. 2300.

No application fee is need to be paid by SC category candidates.

Application fee must be paid through the means of a Demand Draft. The demand draft should be drawn in favour of Executive Engineer, Electricity, OP Division, No. 4, Sector-34, Chandigarh payable at Chandigarh.
