Belgaum Institute of Management Studies came into existence in the year 2004 and the college is working under the control of the PES & T’s Shaikh Group of Institutions. The institute was established with the objective of offering quality education to deserving candidates and the institute offers management education with affiliation from the Government of Karnataka and with approval from the AICTE. The college offers Master of Business Administration course with affiliation from the Karnatak University located at Dharwad.

Course Details:

As mentioned earlier, Belgaum Institute of Management Studies offers Master of Business Administration course. The course extends to a period of two years and the course is offered in different specializations like Finance, HR and Marketing. The course is designed in such a way as to blend theory with practice and develop concepts and competencies required for keeping the career of the students in fast track. The curriculum of the course includes foundation modules designed for equipping students with management and analytical decisions.

Eligibility requirement:

For seeking admission to the Belgaum Institute of Management Studies for MBA course, candidates must be graduates from a recognized university securing not less than 50% of aggregate marks in the degree course and the minimum percentage required for reserved category candidates is 45. At the time of admission, candidates will be required to submit all their original certificates.

Admission Procedure:

Students, who wish to take admission to the two-year MBA course offered by BIMS, will have to undergo written test conducted by the VTU. Selection of candidates will be purely on the basis of merit and candidates selected from universities other than Karnatak University will have to submit eligibility certificate from the Karnatak University and they should also produce migration certificate.

Library at Belgaum Institute of Management Studies:

Library at the Belgaum Institute of Management Studies, acts as a main source for information and it is well-equipped with journals and books in addition to video cassettes and CDs. The institute also subscribed to a number of national and international journals, newspaper and periodicals and other study materials as well. Library at the institute acts as an ocean of knowledge wherein students and researchers can easily and freely access the information required.
