Recovery of Oil from Emulsion Effluents: It is the removal of oil from the surface of materials by using an aqueous solution which consists of wash water and demulsifiers. Thus it forms a turbulent mixture of wash water, oil emulsion and demulsifier. The demulsifier is employed so as to break the oil emulsion. The oil thus liberated forms a separate phase in the solution of wash water/demulsifier. The aqueous solution of wash water/demulsifier is removed in the quiescent stage itself. Ammonium, metal sulfates and metal bisulfates are some of the preferred demulsifiers.

Studies on Multiphase Reactors: This project deals with the design of impellers with different dimensions on the paddle, pitch and turbine. It also analyses the various factors in order to find out the best impeller with the best dimensions. The parameters that should be varied are vessel diameter, space between the impeller and the vessel liquid height, dilatants and addition of electrolytes such as glycerol etc. These impellers are then subjected for testing so as to obtain maximum gas hold up and minimum power consumption.

Paper Recycling: The conversion of old paper products into new reusable materials is known as paper recycling. It takes only about 65% less energy than manufacturing it from new raw materials. Manufacturing of paper is an easy process and it makes use of the trees for the same.
