Candidates who are pursuing Bachelor of Engineering or Bachelor of Technology in any of the subjects such as Computer Science/ Electronics and Communication Engineering or Instrumentation and Control Engineering are eligible to apply to Tata Elxsi. They should have obtained a minimum of 70 % marks up to current semester. Selection procedure includes written test and personal interview.

Eligibility Criterion

Final year candidates who are pursuing Bachelor of Technology/ Engineering in any of the following streams are eligible to apply for this recruitment.

• Computer Science
• Information Technology
• Electronics and Communication Engineering
• Electrical and Electronics Engineering
• Applied Electronics
• Instrumentation and Control Engineering
• Electronics and Instrumentation

Apart from these, candidates who are pursuing ME/ M.Tech in the above said disciplines can also apply. Candidates are required to secure a minimum of 70% marks in aggregate up to the current semester. They are supposed to have no standing backlogs at the time of application as well as at the time of joining.

Selection Procedure

Recruitment to various posts is carried out on the basis of

• Written Test
• Personal Interviews

Written test comprises of two papers. There will be questions to evaluate candidates’ aptitude level as well as technical knowledge. Questions will be in multiple choice objective type formats. There will be questions from simple mathematics, logical reasoning in aptitude section. There will be a total of 30 questions in this section and the maximum marks allotted is 20. Technical section will contain questions of graduate level. Candidates can expect questions from Electronics and Electricals for Electronics stream and Computer Science for respective stream. This section also contains 30 questions. Each question carries one mark. There will be no negative marking. Time duration allotted for the entire test is one hour.

Those who have cleared written test will be short listed for interview rounds. There will be two rounds of interview.

• Technical Interview
• HR Interview

Candidates can expect questions from the academics section, candidates’ area of interest, projects done, and recent trends in the industry. Candidates’ subject knowledge and awareness on general topics will be evaluated in Technical Interview. Those who have qualified in technical interview will be called for HR interview, which is the final part of selection procedure. There will be questions to analyze candidates’ interpersonal skills and also behavioral approach.

Candidates are required to appear for the examination with two copies of resume, marks sheets and passport size photographs.
