Union Bank of India is a leading Financial or Commercial bank with its headquarter located at Mumbai, India. It is the largest state owned bank of the country. Mavila Vishwanathan Nair is the Chair person of the bank. The bank was registered as a limited company on November 11, 1919. The inauguration of the bank was done by Late Mahatama Gandhi. There were only 4 branches of the bank among which 3 were in Mumbai and only 1 was in Saurashtra, in the year 1947. Representative offices were opened by the bank in Abu Dhabi, Shangahi etc in the year 2007. Another representative office was opened in the year 2009 in Sydney.
Job Profile:
A leading public sector bank named Union Bank of India, is making recuitment of the candidates on the post of Clerk cum Cashier. Candidates should have atleast the minimum educational qualification required for the post.
Eligibility:
18 years is the minimum prescribed age limit while 28 years is the maximum age limit set for the post. Candidates should be in between these two age limits.
Educational Qualification:
Graduate Degree from a UGC recognized university is required for the post. Candidates should also be aware of the computer applications. Infact, candidates are required to have done Office Automation Course from a Computer Training Institute.
No. of posts: Total 1640 posts are available in the Clerical Cadre in various state of the country.
Pay Scale: All selected candidates will be paid the same consolidated salary of Rs. 7200-19300 per month. No additional amount will be paid to any candidates except this salary.
Application Fee:
No fee is to be paid by the SC/ST/PH candidates. Rs. 300 is the application fee need to be paid by the other candidates. The fee is to be paid by the candidates in cash only in any branch of Union Bank of India. The fee is to be paid by the means of a Application Fee Challan which can be downloaded from the website of the bank.
Selection Process:
Selections are to be made by the conduct of a Written Test. The date of the written test is 6 February 2011. All successfull candidates of this writte examination will then be called for the personal interview.
How to apply: Application must be made online only. Candidates should apply at the website of Union bank of India from 26 November 2010 to 16 december 2010. Candidates should take two printout of the registration slip and keep them for future reference.
