Commerce offers foundation for many professional careers in a wide range of fields like broking, banking, tax practice, accountancy, planning, finance, etc… in addition to research, academics and many more. As a stream of study, commerce can be chosen right after class 10 and after 10 years of schooling commerce is available in India as a option at the higher secondary level thereby offering a foundation for aspiring candidates. When commerce is chosen at the higher secondary level, students are offered with an introduction to a number of subjects like finance, business, mathematics, economics, etc…

Commerce Colleges in Maharashtra:

Commerce College in the state of Maharashtra are spread in the length and breadth and there are several commerce colleges in the cities of Sindhudurg, Ratnagiri, Raigad and Thane of Maharashtra and admission to UG course of B. Com in these commerce colleges are offered to candidates with commerce group in the higher secondary examination and admission to these colleges are normally done on the basis of merit secured by candidates in the qualifying examination. These colleges also offer commerce education at the PG level as Master of Commerce and even M. Phil and Ph. D in Commerce is also offered by some of these commerce colleges. Even at the UG level, B. Com (honors) course is also offered by some colleges.
