Cummins Colleges of Engineering for Women, Pune
The Cummins Colleges of Engineering is one of the most popular engineering colleges of India which offers various technical courses only to the girl students. It is the first college in India to do so. The college started its journey in 1991 and is affiliated to the Pune University. It has the approval from All India Council for Technical Education, New Delhi. Maharshi Karve Stree Shikshan Sanstha (MKSSS) was the founder of this College. It is awarded grade ‘A’ for its quality education by the Government of Maharashtra and also has the accreditation by the National Board of Accreditation (NBA).
Campus:
The campus of this college is spread over an area of one lakh forty one thousand square ft. The various campus facilities of this college are 31 laboratories, 12 class rooms, an auditorium, workshop and Hostel which accommodates about 650 girls.
Courses Offered:
The Cummins college of Engineering for women offers various undergraduate courses to the aspirants in order to enlighten their mind with the technical knowledge. It covers the various technical departments like: Computer Science, Electronics and Telecommunication, Instrumentation and Control, Information Technology and Mechanical.
Admission Procedure:
The aspirants applying for this college must have secured a minimum of 50% marks in 10+2 exams or its equivalent exams. The total seats are divided as 65% through MHT-CET, 15% based on AIEEE and 20% through special quota which is for the BC candidates born in Maharashtra.
Placements:
The college has established a separate cell for the training and placement of the students. The college provides on campus placement to its students in companies like: Whirlpool, Thoughtwork, Newgen, John Deere, Giesecke and Devrient, Infosys, Indigo Architects, Kale Consultants, Colgate Palmolive, Conexant, TCE, Gabriel India, FDS Infotech, NSEiT, SATYAM, Symphony, Oracle, TCS, Wipro, Tech Mahindra and many more
