Dayanand Arya Kanya Mahavidyalaya was established in the year 1983 on the month of October and it is affiliated to Rashtrasant Tukadoji Maharaj Nagpur University under minority status. The college is dedicated towards development of economically and socially backward girls and it is offering education under English and Hindi medium.

Arts:

In the Bachelor of Arts course offered by Dayanand Arya Kanya Mahavidyalaya, out of the five subjects two subjects being Hindi and English are compulsory and remaining three subjects are optional subjects and students can choose any three out of English literature, economics, Hindi literature, political science, sociology, fashion designing, home economics and music. The college also offers Master of Arts in economics and Hindi.

Commerce:

In the Bachelor of Commerce course offered by the college English and Hindi are compulsory subjects and remaining three subjects are optional subjects and students can select any three subjects out of five options given in every year of the three-year course.

Computer Application:

The name of the course offered under this category is B.C.C.A, which means Bachelor of Commerce with Computer Application and the optional subjects offered are financial accounting, English & business communication, basic of economics & business environment, principles of management, information technology and information systems apart from compulsory subjects of English and Hindi.

Facilities:

Students of Dayanand Arya Kanya Mahavidyalaya are offered with facilities like full-fledged computer lab with internet facility, book bank facility, regular morning classes in meditation and yoga, practical lab for music with recording facilities and musical instruments. Other facilities include, fashion designing lab with embroidery, handloom, textile printing and knitting facilities, scholarships for economically backward students and home economics practical lab with cooking, textile and preservation facilities.
