The South Indian Bank (SIB) has invited applications from LL.B graduates for the position of ‘Probationary Legal Officer’. Selection of eligible candidates is made from the list of short listed candidates, through personnel interview. Applications can be submitted online via the web portal of SIB.

Eligibility Criteria for SIB Probationary Legal Officer Recruitment 2013

Applicant must meet certain eligibility constraints to apply for the position of Probationary Legal Officer. Bachelor degree in law from a recognized University is the educational qualification required. It must be obtained as a 3 year or 5 year course in regular study mode. Minimum percentage of marks required for LL.B is 55. Work experience in related field is desirable. Aspirants who have worked as Legal Officer in banks or financial institutions or banks will be given preference. Age of the candidate must not be less than 23 years and must not be greater than 32 years. Concession in age is applicable for SC/ST candidates. They can avail 5 years of relaxation in upper age limit.

Selection Process for SIB Probationary Legal Officer

Selection of eligible candidates is made through a personnel interview session. Personnel interview is conducted for those candidates who have been short listed by the bank. Short listed candidates will be intimated over e-mail. The right to call the requisite number of applicants is vested with the bank.

Application Process for SIB Probationary Legal Officer Recruitment 2013

Before starting with the application process, aspirant must ensure that they hold the required eligibility. Applications must be forwarded online through the website of SIB. Application form must be filled with adequate care, as there is no provision to modify the submitted application. On successful submission of the application, a user ID and password will be generated by the system. Such details must be kept with care, as it can be used for reprinting the application form.

Application fee for attending the test is Rs.500/- for general/OBC category candidates and Rs.250/- for SC/ST candidates. This must be paid in the form of Demand Draft, taken in favor of ‘The South Indian Bank Ltd’ and it must be payable at Thrissur.

After submitting online applications, it is requested to send application print out to the address of the Deputy General Manager (Personnel Department), SIB. Application reprint must be submitted along with the following documents.

  • Photocopy of 10th, 12th, and LL.B certificates
  • Demand Draft
  • Caste Certificate issued by a competent authority (applicable for SC/ST candidates only)

Applications that do not accompany with the above mentioned documents will be rejected.
