Yes, you can study B.Tech (Aeronautical Engineering) course after completion of your three years Diploma in Mechanical Engineering course. To get admission in B.Tech (Aeronautical Engineering) course, you must have completed 3 years Diploma in Engineering course from a recognised board and you need to appear in LEET/ECET/JELET entrance examinations to get admission in second year of four years B.Tech course. After getting admission in B.Tech course, you can change your branch from Mechanical Engineering to Aeronautical Engineering.

My personal suggestion is that, you may go for B.Tech(Mechanical Engineering) after completing Diploma in Mechanical Engineering. All the concepts which you have learnt in Mechanical Engineering will not help you while pursuing Aeronautical engineering. It is totally different stream. The days you spent for Mechanical Engineering course will go meaning less. Anyhow, decide it yourself based on your interest and ambition. I recommend you to apply for LEET exam through which you can join 2nd year in B.Tech directly in top institutes. |
