yes you are eligible for gate.the eligibility criteria required is only B.tech pass . There is no such condition to be appear in GATE

**either Bachelor degree holders in Engineering/Technology/Architecture
**either Master degree holders in any branch of Science/Mathematics/Statistics/Computer Applications
**either Candidates in the second or higher year of the Four-year Integrated Master degree programme (Post-B.Sc.) in Engineering/Technology
only these candidates can apply ..

for Gate as there is no age limit
and no number of attempts defined in GATE exam..
and also there is no minimum percentage criteria ,

Sir, I was detained from my college due to low attendance that's why my degree will complete in 5 year instead of 4 year than my question is that, am I eligible for gate and PSU ??

Can a student eligible to write gate exam if he detained for a year in b.tech
