I have scored 430 in WBHSE HS, 779 in Madhyamik, my marks in HS are : -
Maths - 94 Chem - 90 Bio - 90 Phys - 76 Eng - 86 Beng - 70 & in Madhyamik my marks are - Maths - 100 Physical Science - 99 Life Science - 98 my total aggregate accrndng 2 Jadavpur is 719 out of 800 (almost 90%) Can I get admission in Jadavpur for Chem hnrs ths year? or St. Xaviers? their cut off is 75%,bt the trend is much higher than this.so pls tell me if I can get admission in ny of ths colleges. |

Merit list is prepared such that they starts selecting student with highest percentile say starting from 95% student and almost admission closed at 80% percentile getting student. The remainng seats are for MAnagement Quota. |

Marks obtained in Environmental Education as a compulsory subject at the H.S. (10+2) Examination conducted by the West Bengal Council of H.S. Education or its equivalent shall not be taken into account for calculating the aggregate marks in top five subjects for the purpose of admission at the degree course of studies under this University (vide Circular no. C.S./1491/07, dt. 04.06.07 issued by the Secretary, Councils for U.G. Studies, C.U.) Students of the (10+2) level passing out from the All India Boards/Councils (i.e. C.B.S.E., I.S.C. and National Institute of Open Schooling) need not require to submit the Migration Certificate for getting registration under this University, (vide ref. No. R/103/circular (2007) dt.22.05.07 of the Registrar, C.U.). 2. No candidate shall be allowed for admission after a lapse of more than 3 years from the year of passing the previous qualifying examination or discontinuation of recognised regular courses of study after passing the previous qualifying examination. Explanation : The year of admission will not be taken into account while calculating 3 years from the year of passing the previous qualifying examination 3. A candidate taking up Honours Course in a subject must obtain: (i)A minimum of 50% marks in aggregate and 45% marks in the subject or related subject at the previous qualifying examination (in case of B.Mus. Hons. 45% marks in the aggregate and 45% marks in the subject Music in the pre-qualifying examination) Vide Notification No- CSR/37/06, dated 21.8.06 OR (ii) 55% marks in the subject or related subject at the previous qualifying examination (in case of B.Mus. Admission will be made on the basis of test held by the college authority for the purpose.
