In IIT the major portion in physics come from 11th only i.e mechanics is very important,waves and oscillation.In chemistry chemical and ionic equilibrium are most important. In maths Complex number,permutation and combination ,probability are most important topics.
If you prepare these topics properly then you can easily pass the cut off of 11th course.

My son has passed 10th this year with 82.36%, he would like to go for B.Sc (IT) should he tale bifocal or general science. and when should he appear the entrance exam of engineering.

Hi dear,

let me tell you that 11th is the base for your career, and you cant skip any of its topic
i agree that some are not that important but almost every topic of physics chemistry and maths is important for you to go on in your career

In chemistry atomic structure and their application, all the chemical reactions are of major importance

likewise in physics Kinematics, Work-Power-Energy,Dynamics, Oscillations are important

Though i will personally advice you to go through the whole syllabus

you have to give time to your syllabus if you want to excel in your career

sir i have joint iit classes after 3 months when it started. i am having problem with the syllabus. i hardly understand anything.
and i also don't get time for my studies. i am packed for my classes and college.
would u please suggest me some imp tips to tackle this situation and concentrate on mystudies.

for good result you have to plan out which chapters to finish first once you start a chapter take it on for 3 to 4 days and cover all objective questions as well as subjective. dont say i ll do it tomorrow you start it you finish it no matter what. that will make u confident about it.
