Hi,

Read English papers with clear voice and listen to English news and try to read out good novels. Practice 10 words everyday and try to speak with your friends in English.

hi!

The best way to improve your vocabulary is to read some good english newspaper like Times of India or The Hindu or Telegraph.

Note down the words which are unfamiliar/unknown to you & then look into the dictionary to find out the meaning of that word. In this way you will not only learn the meaning f a particular word but will also know the use of that word in sentence.

If you want to improve your vocabulary by reading book then i will recommend you to study Word power by Norman Lewis.

I suggest you 2 different ways:
A. It is a usual way:
Dan Brown's novels along with good quality news papers & magazines will certainly teach you a lot to use the most appropriate vocabulary in the most appropriate context.

But inorder to improve vocabulary, definitely reading alone will not help. For that one can follow these steps:

1. Read
2. Frame an immediate sentence with a word you read. The sentence should be in the lines of your interest which you will never forget. Eg., Ones who like eating lot can frame sentences related to foods and so on.

B. It is an effective way to improve vocabulary:
1. Learn basic grammar
2. Write a lot on any theme. Have a thesaurus (online thesaurus or dictionary is better). Don't use typical words. Try to use the most appropriate words and use. Think of some deep things in your mother tongue and try to translate in english. This works really well because the "Need" or "Demand" will teach you efficiently.
3. Never make wrong choice of words by misunderstanding. Be confident of the meaning, usage and the context & then use it.

Writing is an effective way to improve vocabulary.

An excellent way to improve your vocabulary is to read English Newspapers. Different business magazines are there. Please go through it. If you don’t understand the meanings of some words, then find it in dictionary. This will help you to memorize different words. Also do try writing articles of what you have learnt.

Hi dear,
Each time you go out to run errands, try out a few new words. If you take the bus, you can improve your English by talking to people on the bus. Also, talk to people at the grocery store, and don’t be afraid to ask if you don’t understand something. Most people are happy to tell you what a word means.

You don’t have to say a lot to people at stores you visit, but even practicing simple greetings will help you improve your English. The more you speak with English speakers, the more you will improve your English, both in pronunciation and vocabulary.

Reading things written in English can really help you to improve your English. If regular books are too difficult, you could start out with simple books. Reading the newspaper and comic books can be very helpful as well.

Also listen to talk radio in English. This also can help you improve your English because you are listening to good pronunciation. Though talk radio may not make a lot of sense at first, it makes more sense the more you listen.

Here you will find some tips on how to improve your English speaking.speaking24.com
Thanks

Hello,
1)For this the best way is to follow more and more English news channels. You will get to learn new English words from there. Also you will get an idea as to how use such words in your conversation.

2)Next thing that you can do is to go for an everyday reading of the dictionary. In the dictionary you will get new words and their noun and adjective form. So you will get to learn a lot from ther.

3)Buy the Times or India Today Magazines. These magazines have impeccable English and you can learn a lot on how to use words. How much to say in the sentences and a lot more. Try these and let me know, how much your vocabulary improved.
